What inspired you to become a fictional novel writer?
Ever since childhood, I was always drawn towards fictional novels and classic English literature novels. I share my birthday with Salman Rushdie, a prolific writer and one of my inspirations – which made me believe that writing had a special part to play in my life. As I aged into adulthood, I started my career as a copywriter and devoted the first five years of my professional journey to copywriting.
What qualities according to you make you a unique writer?
In my opinion, every writer is unique and has a peculiar style of writing. I consider myself to be a keen observer who takes inspiration from the world around him. My perspective towards life is broad and objective – each and every event I encounter could be turned into a beautiful story. Imagination and vivid conceptualization are my two best friends who help me weave the eventful encounters of my life into an anecdote or an idea for another story.
